Ian Whitehead makes his living as a full-time photographer with over 25 years of experience.

Fascinated by the sculpted sandstone canyons of the Southwest, Ian moved to Sedona, Arizona in 2000. Born in England, his family moved to southern California when he was quite young. He was raised on the west coast of California, where he first started to view the world through the lens of his camera.

Later in life, Ian moved to Lake Tahoe, where he continued his photography, and also designed and built a few homes. In the year 2000, he moved to Sedona. What a great base camp Sedona is for quickly getting to the canyon lands of Northern Arizona and Utah, that so had a hold on his soul. He met his wife Lisa here in Sedona, where they currently live in another home that Ian designed and built.

As time permits, Ian also conducts custom southwest photo workshops. Learn to understand your camera settings and composition skills while visiting some of the most impressive locations in the Southwest! For more information please drop us a line here, and also visit Southwest Photo Workshops.

In addition to being a landscape photographer, today Ian mostly works as a commercial photographer shooting architectural interiors and exteriors for resorts, hotels, showrooms. Ian works with architects, interior designers, builders, Realtors, vacation rental owners, property management companies, business owners.
